Will I have to have x-rays?
Let’s us begin with “to see is to know, and not to see is to guess”, We
don’t want to be guessing about your care. X-rays are like a map and
they give important information about your spine that cannon be seen
with the naked eye, felt with the hand or even other instrumentation
used. X-rays take the guess work out of your care and give the Doctor
the most accurate analysis of your problem.
How long will it take me to get well?
The length of time varies based on each individual’s diagnosis, how long
the vertebrae (spinal bones) have been displaced, how much damage has
been done to the nerve tracts and fibers, the vitality of the patient,
and the rate of response of the nerve fibers to the adjustment.
Will it hurt?
We can tell you from the vast amount of experience we have had that each
person is different in the way they respond to the first adjustment.
Some patients feel immediate relief, while others feel no different.
Still some may be sore the night of their first adjustment or the day
after. It is hard to predict how a person will respond, but those who
follow instructions, and keep appointments will experience the greatest
change in the least amount of time.
I heard if you go to a chiropractor and get adjusted you have to keep
going?
Remember that all healthy habits are good habits. And just like you
don’t want to quit brushing your teeth, or going for your bi-annual
dental checkups, you don’t want to stop getting your spine checked
either. Your health is improved by taking care of your spine. It only
makes sense to continue on with adjustments so you can maintain a better
quality of life.
Will the Doctor prescribe drugs?
We are a drugless profession. Our approach to health is to locate the
cause and not just treat the symptom.
How soon should I get my children under care?
As soon after birth as possible, and then have them checked periodically
as they grow up. You may ask why. The spine of a newborn is greatly
affected by childbirth. Just the process of traveling through the birth
canal is traumatic, but then add forceps, suctions and the twisting of
the head and this all adds trauma to the newborn spine which can cause
spinal misalignment which leads to a host of symptoms in the first year
of life and beyond.
As your child matures, just the process of everyday common happenings
can cause spinal misalignment. Things such as: poor posture, stress,
falls associated with sports such as skiing, bicycling, skateboarding,
football, and more can cause spinal misalignment and trigger health
problems in your child. Children respond very quickly to adjustments and
benefit greatly from keeping their spine in line. |
